Personally, I try to experiment with fat at every meal. This, however, was a slightly more formal experiment. Two charming young Newark Museum docents demonstrated the insulating properties of animal fat by inviting Susannah to stick her hand in a bag of Crisco and submerge it in ice. Mmmm.
