After our visit to the Van Vleck House for a little class about bats, we're thinking of installing a bat house. A single bat can eat 1,000 mosquitos per hour! I can only kill 2-3 per hour with the electric tennis racquet that Uncle Ken gave us. Pictured below is Miss Bouquette (Bucket?), our resident goth bat expert. Susannah asked many excellent questions and told everyone about the bat that almost killed us all in the field across the street from our house.
