The Eagles Have Landed

Here we are on arrival at Paddington Station looking enthusiastic and full of vim. Part greenhouse, this Victorian Wonder makes me hate Penn Station even more than I do already. UK style hilarity ensues as we attempt to buy 7 day train cards and are forced to visit the photo booth for a new ID that is somehow more legitimate than our passports and I predict will never see daylight again. This slow down meant we hit morning rush hour, a nightmare with throngs of commuters waiting to be pulsed into the underground in waves. I'm reminded that England utterly fails to get customer service on the systems level but excels in human kindness. A woman with heavy bags and a young child (and invisible husband who gives no quarter streaking ahead) is never without help. Susannah was a trooper! I've heard her whine more getting from the TV to the kitchen table.
