Next stop is Champaign (wtf?) Urbana or Chambana, were we visit UIUC but not before getting a morning coffee at this very cute book store cafe. UIUC has 1000 engineering students and a fun, quirky tour guide so we rub Lincoln's nose for luck, learn about the mammoth statue needed a rock under its paw because kids would get stuck under there, as well as see the big tools engineers use to test building safety. Smells like my childhood.
