I will admit that I have been thinking of polytechnics as less intellectually happening than universities but prospective student day was a revelation. RPI offers a nest of sick maker spaces - incredible options from robotics to fabrics. Their ASL program is second only to Gallaudet. They have a hot shop. It is bloody cold up there on Lake Ontario but they have a lighthouse!!! Fingers crossed for this cool option.
